Welcome to my website, a place where I seek to introduce myself and my professional services not only to California’s Innkeepers but also to those aspiring Innkeepers who hope to purchase and operate a B&B, Historic Inn or Boutique Hotel in our Golden State.

As an Inn Sales Specialist, I am fortunate to professionally serve all of the Northern California territory – a vast and exciting realm that ranges from Paso Robles to the Oregon border and then from Nevada to the Pacific Ocean.  On a daily basis, I am honored to meet and work with successful innkeepers as well as savvy investors and prospective buyers, many of whom come from other states, some from other countries.

Set amidst snow-capped Sierra peaks and rugged coastal shorelines, California has always been one of the world’s most desirable “destinations,” attracting more travelers from near and afar than any other state in our Union.  And, just as the Golden Gate Bridge may forever welcome these valued visitors, so too will Northern California’s many charming Inns, always hosted by dedicated and creative Innkeepers.

A kaleidoscopic palette pleasing to enterprising Innkeepers and investors alike, Northern California offers rewarding hospitality acquisition opportunities, some of which may be found by clicking “Inn Listings” along the top of this page.  Other fine establishments also are available but these “exclusive” listings represent properties with sellers who prefer complete marketing discretion and no advertising.  Boutique lodgings represented range from blissful coastal beauties to historic Gold Country luxury charmers, from elegant wine country Bed and Breakfasts to sophisticated urban inns with extra income-producing restaurants.

If your dream is to purchase a California Historic Hotel, Boutique Inn or quaint B&B, or if your goal is to sell your existing California hospitality establishment --, and you wish to learn more about professional services that I provide --, please contact me.   It is my honor simply to be asked to serve.

CALIFORNIA: Hospitality’s Dream Destination

US Government statistics long have placed California as our country’s top tourist destination state.  Now, as the US economy rebuilds, the latest projections for tourism’s “rebound and growth” only reconfirm the Golden State’s continued dominance as the nation’s top tourist destination.  Check out the following government websites: http://tinet.ita.doc.gov/view/m-2010-1-001/index.html and http://tourism.visitcalifornia.com/Industry/Research/CaliforniaHighlights/.

Aspiring innkeepers who are serious about the business of owning and operating a successful inn already know that “healthy hospitality” is driven by solid tourism traffic attracted to internationally-desirable destinations.  (“Internationally” is highlighted because tourism today is international; again, please refer to the above-listed websites.)  By adding the essential ingredient of Internet marketing, today any California inn located in one of the state’s many premier tourist/travel destinations can command those levels of "occupancy" required for healthy hospitality business success.

 Recent Government Tourism Statistics

As of February 2010, the US Department of Commerce documents that international visitation to the United States has increased 22% over February 2009.  International visitor spending is up three percent over February of last year.  For the first two months of 2010, visitors spent US$21.0 billion, up one percent from the same period in 2009.

The Department also updates top US Ports of Entry.  Los Angeles now is #3; San Francisco figures as #7.  (Miami is #1, New York #2.)  Los Angeles enjoyed a 14% increase in international visitors over last year; San Francisco a 6% increase.  (Miami saw only a 4% increase while New York’s 5% increase came in below San Francisco’s 6%.)

California’s own Travel and Tourism Commission predicts a 3% increase in visitors to the state during 2010, followed by a 4% increase in 2011.  Visitors are expected to spend about 5% more than they did in 2009.  For a relevant Los Angeles Times story, published May 10, 2010, click on the following link: www.latimes.com/business/la-fi-tourism-20100510,0,4562028.story

Latest published statistics* further document that California enjoys the largest market share (11.3 percent) of ALL domestic travel among all 50 states, and that California also benefits from 11.4 percent of ALL domestic “leisure” travel.

The same state tourism study notes that California enjoys a 21.7 percent share of ALL "overseas" travel to the United States.
